The end is here or is it????

To continue or not to continue.....That is the question!!!

I would like to think that I will continue to use this blog site. I really would like to set it up so that I can communicate with students and parents in a different way. It would be really great to have it where students can access assignments and various musical excerpts. Tomorrow I will talk with my administrator about using this technology in my classroom and see where I stand. I guess whether I continue with all of this will depends on how it is all received.

Podcasting....

Podcasting potentially could be a very exciting teaching tool. I loved exploring the various sources that were provided with session five of this class. Some of my favorite sites were: Education Podcast Network and Podcasts for Teachers. So many wonderful ideas!!!! My only concern with the use of podcast is with my school district and our very strict internet policies. I worry because most of my students only have internet access at school and if they are not able to get to the sites, then this tool will not benefical to all of my students. I will however, continue to explore the possibility of using this great teaching tool in my classroom.

What I have learned so far....

In learning to navigate this vast new world of web 2.0 and becoming aware of the technology that is available (RSS, blogs, site feeds, aggregators, etc) to use in the everyday classroom, I have discovered many things. 1. Technology is not soo scary. 2. There are ways that I can incorporate the read write web into my classroom. 3. I can share what I have learned with colleagues that are interested in experimenting with new ideas in their classrooms. 4. There are many RSS that I can use to become a better teacher.

My feeds and bloglones....

I am trying to post bloglines to my blog. I hope this works.
